You can see how intrinsically his life is linked to the history of India. He was born in 1923, lived more than 95 years and worked in a legal capacity of more than 70 years. He saw so much, and he represented - and really fought for - the idea of India, sometimes against the Indian government, and sometimes against the symbols of India. He fought for the law, and it always came first for him, no matter what.”
